Graffiti News

You will be pleased to know that due to increased funding Leeds council will now remove graffiti from private or public property for free. To remove the graffiti the council needs the permission of the owners of the property. This means you can’t ask them to remove your neighbour’s graffiti, the neighbour would have to phone up!

We litter picked and removed graffiti from St Michaels Lane.

We litter picked and removed rubbish from streets that join to Bankfield Road. We started at Haddon Place and reached up to Woodside View.

As part of a City wide Churches outreach event during half term called Carnival, Burley Green joined forces with local volunteers and a small team from outside Leeds to litter pick around the Burley Lodge area.

We litter picked around St Matthias Court sheltered housing complex, the park behind The Rising Sun pub and the park behind St Matthias School.

The aim of the week was to make students more active in their community. Burley Green were involved in a community clean up.

Graffiti removal! Around 30 local residents and a team from Bradford Council removed all the graffiti along St Michaels Lane in 3 hours. Big thanks to Village Bakery for sandwiches and hot drinks!
