Burley Domestic ZoneDear All, I am a new visitor to the site. Well done all involved. For your information: Leeds Council is planning on making a significant area in Burley into a Domestic Zone, principally to slow down traffic to stop rat-running. There will also be some landscaping. The proposed Domestic Zone will be defined by Burley Road and Kirkstall Road and extend out to Kirkstall Lane. Maps were distributed to households within the area. A public meeting will be held in the near future. Street recobbling is a popular issue. Attend the meeting and voice your opinions. -- Stan PS I have also heard that there are proposals afoot to create the first significant new Park in Leeds along the river between the viaduct and Morrisons. A public meeting is also in the offing for that too. Anyone interested? ___ See also: Pot Holes Pages that link to this page: Burley News / Pot Holes |
