Golden Jubilee
2002 is the Queen's Golden Jubilee year, and Burley Green would like to celebrate it. There are grants available for voluntary groups to help mark the milestone, so what should we do? We have to decide soon - the big day is on June 4th and it takes around 3 months for grant applications to be processed. Your suggestions? Click 'Edit this page' to tell us your ideas. What kind of project is a Golden Jubilee project?Community groups can apply for Golden Jubilee funding for all manner of projects. Projects can be as diverse as a Golden Jubilee children's football tournament, to a commemorative garden designed and maintained by local people, or a community fun day with games for people of all ages and abilities. The Golden Jubilee website also offers a host of other information including frequently asked questions and details of nationwide celebrations.
