Old Burley Co-op

The building on the corner of Haddon Road and Burley Road, (now home to Bobbys Kushbu, the McLary Laundrette, Burley Carpets and Burley Tyre Mart) was once the Burley Road Co-op.

We will have a photo of the Old Co-op here soon, but for now here's a photo of the foundation stone, inscribed as follows:

"This stone was laid by William Thomas Burnley. A Director of the Society Aug 20th 1898"
