Rules, Policies, and Disclaimers

The Burley Green Wall is a community to which all are welcome, but for any community to survive there must be some degree of order. Burley Green is committed to promoting the positive aspects of Burley, and we appreciate your contribution to that ideal on this site.

You are free to add pages, amend existing pages, upload graphics and link to pages outside the site. If you want you can even make yourself a little home here. Burley belongs to the people of Burley, and this site is 'By and for the people of Burley.'

We would appreciate you leaving your name, but you don't have to. If you add something to a page, you may mark your contribution by adding your name on a line by itself preceded by two hyphens.
-- YourName

This has the added advantage that anyone can click the title of the page 'YourName' (presuming you've created that page) and see all the pages you've contributed to. And you can see who's commented on your comments :-)

Considering the real-time nature of Burley Green it is impossible for us to review pages or confirm the validity of information posted. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the content of pages and are not responsible for anything posted here, other than information posted by ourselves. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any page, and are not responsible for the content of any page (even those posted by ourselves, which may have been altered since we posted it).

The pages express the views of the individual author(s), not necessarily the views of Burley Green, or any entity associated with Burley Green. Any user who feels that a page is objectionable is free to edit that page. We aim to be a self-policing site as much as possible.

We (the site administrators) may also remove objectionable items and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use Burley Green, or any other service provided by Burley Green to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.

You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyrighted material is owned by you. Although we do not and cannot review the messages posted and are not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we reserve the right to delete any message for any reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).

We reserve the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you.
