User Involvement Project

Supports people with learning disabilities to get involved in the services they use. They believe that people with learning disabilities know what they want and are experts on the services they use. Getting involved could mean:

• going to a self-advocacy group
• being on a management committee
• interviewing and training staff/ workers
• checking services
• making choices about things you want
• trying to make information easy to understand.
